The Players leaderboard: Latest scores from TPC Sawgrass as Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler headline PGA Tour event

The latest scores from The Players, the PGA Tour's flagship event, held at TPC Sawgrass in Florida.

Forty-seven of the world's top 50 are scheduled to feature at the 123-man event, where Rory McIlroy is defending champion after last year's play-off victory over JJ Spaun.

World No 1 Scottie Scheffler chases a third win in four years at The Players, while Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Rose are among those looking to become the first English winner in the tournament's history.

FedExCup leader Collin Morikawa, two-time major champion Xander Schauffele and last week's Arnold Palmer Invitational winner Akshay Bhatia are among the others also chasing victory.

The winner of this year's event earns a $4.5m first prize, with a total prize purse of $25m on offer.

Your Site Golf will once again be the home of The Players, with over 40 hours of live golf across the four days and a host of extra live programming available during tournament week.

'Live from The Players' brings you the latest news from TPC Sawgrass from 11.30am on Wednesday, ahead of live tournament coverage starting on Thursday.

Featured Groups will be available on Your Site+ throughout the week, along with Featured Holes, with bonus feeds to enjoy on top of the feeds available each week during PGA Tour coverage.
